At Litigant Support New Zealand Limited ("we", "us", or "our"), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information in connection with the services we provide through our website, social media platform, and community service for litigants in the Family Court of New Zealand (collectively, the "Services").

You are welcome to discuss and share details of your case with a peer supporter. All information you share will remain confidential and only used as part of discussions and consultation to provide you with peer support. We will not claim ownership of or use the information for any purpose other than to provide support. We do not offer legal or therapeutic advice of ANY kind. Compliance with Legislation
All court and case documents are shared at will by the party seeking support ("you" or "user"). Ownership of that information remains with the party who shared it. All court documents shared with us are subject to the relevant legislation pertaining to publication of Family Court documents, and specifically Sections 11B, 11C, and 11D of the Family Court Act 1980. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that we comply with these provisions and any other applicable laws and regulations.

Use of Court Documents
We only use court documents as background information to provide better peer support. We do not rely on, or make public references to details of your case. Any information you share with us will be treated with the utmost confidentiality, and will not be disclosed to any third party without your explicit consent, except as required by law.

User Responsibilities
The user of our Services is responsible for ensuring that relevant court rules and legislation pertaining to the identities of the parties and especially minors or vulnerable persons, as defined by the Acts, is protected. You must not share any information in a way that would contravene these rules or legislation, or that would otherwise infringe on the rights or privacy of others.

Security
We take the security of your information seriously and use appropriate measures to protect it from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
